ACURA INTEGRA AND ACURA CARS

Acura Integra was released way back in the 1987 and as of now boasts a huge fan following. Two things helped its popularity-its sports appeal and its affordable prices. Acura Integra was based on Honda Civic and it helped to attract a large number of customers to the Acura cars fold. It is genuinely credited with spurring the sales of Honda's luxury division. Acura changed the name of Integra to "RSX" as per its naming policy but as they say what is in the name, nothing changed where its performance and popularity is concerned.

It is actually a dubious distinction but Acura Integra has appeared on every single "most stolen" vehicle list. You won't believe but it is true for seven models of Integra. One of the reasons behind it is that Integra parts are very much in demand for swapping. Actually, if you combine individual parts and retail it, you can fetch about three times the vehicle's price. And what is more, its engine finds quite a demand from people with less powerful Honda engines. So, just visit your local junkyard to find some Acura car parts.

IS IT THE END FOR ACURA?

Acura Integra has been really a very successful model for Honda but now it is going to be discontinued. Honda wants to separate the two divisions and as such the two brands would have separate entities. Honda believes that Acura cars have enough market to stand on their own and they don’t now require bridge models like RSX. Honda has separated the research and development (R&D) departments for the two brands to bring further differentiation.

But other than RSX, Acura cars have no more models to offer to its clients. But rumors are ripe that things are going to change with the launch of a two door version TSX sedan. It would surely mean paying a little more but it is surely more luxurious than the previous models. It is going to be more powerful and better engineered than its previous models.
